One of the most viral business reality television series is 'Shark Tank India'. It was the idea of Anupam Mittal, where a panel of investors get a chance to explore and invest in other businesses. It is a great platform for entrepreneurs (of any age) to pitch their ideas in front of the investors to influence them to join in. It is a reality show inspired by the American television reality show. Its 1st season was premiered from 21 December 2021 to 4 February 2022. It is partnered by upGrad.


LET'S MEET OUR SHARKS!!.


1.) Ashneer Grover: Ashneer Grover is the Managing Director and Co-founder of BharatPe. He invested Rs. 5.383Cr for 21 deals.

2.) Namita Thapar: Namita Thapar is the Executive Director of Emcure Pharmaceuticals. She made 22 deals by investing Rs. 6.383Cr.

3.) Anupam Mittal: The man behind the idea of this reality show, Anupam Mittal is the Founder and CEO of Shaadi.com and People Group. He invested Rs. 5.338Cr for 24 deals.

4.) Vineeta Singh: Vineeta Singh is the CEO and Co-founder of SUGAR cosmetics. Investing Rs. 3.042Cr, she made a total of 15 deals.

5.) Aman Gupta: Aman Gupta is the Co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer of boAt. Making the highest number of deals i.e. 28 deals, he invested a total of Rs. 9.358Cr.

6.) Ghazal Alagh: Ghazal Alagh, the Co-founder and Chief Mama of Mama Earth, invested Rs. 1.2Cr in 7 deals.

7.) Peyush Bansal: Peyush Bansal is the Co-founder and CEO of Lenskart. He made the second highest number of deals, 27, investing Rs. 8.297Cr.

[Any five of these seven sharks appear in each episode. However, in the last episode, all the seven sharks appeared and that was fantastic!]

In my views, it was really a great initiative started because it would help the small business units to flourish with their hard-work and the mentorship of the sharks.

Moreover, my most favorite sharks in the series were Aman Gupta and Namita Thapar. Aman Gupta's sense of humor is something which I like the most about his attitude while Namita Thapar appreciates each and everyone and motivates them to expand their business. I like the other sharks as well.
